User interviews are going to play a crucial role in my user research process. They will provide me with valuable qualitative insights directly from the users. Some of the benefits I will get from these interviews include:

  1. A deeper understanding of the User's Needs (Contextual Insights)
  2. Personalised User Feedback (Individual Perspectives)
  3. Clarification of Ambiguities and Uncertainties
  4. Identification of Pain Points
  5. Feedback and validation of Design Ideas
  6. Unveiling unmet needs
  7. User Journey Insights
  8. Data-informed decision-making
  9. Iterative Prototyping
  10. User Engagement & Trust

Overall by gathering user interviews, the insight allows for a better design process which will hopefully contribute to the success of my app.

Prospective Dog Owner:

Mum of two young boys - Louise Glavey

I got into contact with a former colleague, Louise. Louise is the mum of two young boys under the age of 6. Her husband also rents properties so has a good knowledge of the subject of having a put that it suitable for certain homes etc.

When I asked Louise what she would consider before getting a dog, this was her response:

Louise displays responsibility towards the thought of getting a dog. She understands the undertaking it requires. Although I don’t want to deter people from getting a dog, these are the things I need to make them aware of to reduce the likelihood of a dog ending up in a shelter or having to be rehomed.

Professional Dog Trainer:

I was very fortunate to have gotten into contact with a professional dog trainer who lives locally to me. She was so kind to have answered the questions that I proposed and her insights were very useful.
