I think before I begin progressing any further, I want to assess the work I have done so far to ensure I have covered all areas thoroughly.
User Research - Realistically, there’s going to be two main user cases for my app. There are going to be those, looking for a canine and also those working in shelters to keep the profiles uploaded etc. I think I have covered the side for those searching for a dog, however I need to get in touch with someone responsible for working in a shelter.
Define User Goals - Obviously because I have two main use cases I have two sets of user goals.
*Prospective dog owner -* From a person using the perspective dog owners profile, their main goal will be to find the perfect canine for them. I do also think that I will also have a lot of users who are there out of curiosity as well though, to see the dogs who are in shelters near the.
*Shelter Worker / Volunteer -* From the other side of the app, the shelter workers & volunteers will be searching for a simple method of uploading a dog’s profile, to give it the best possible chance at getting adopted.
